Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the simulation of human intelligence in computers that have been programmed to think and act in human-like ways. It causes computers to behave more intelligently. Artificial intelligence’s strongest attribute is its ability to reason and take decisions that have the best chance of achieving a specific target.

Types of Artificial Intelligence

There are three types of Artificial intelligence (AI):

Weak or Narrow AI
It has a limited set of abilities. Narrow AI is task-oriented, intending to perform a single task. For example, face recognition, speech recognition/voice assistants, driving a vehicle, or searching the web. It is very competent for the completion of the task it is designed to do.

General or Strong AI
In any given case, General AI can think, understand, and behave in a manner that is indistinguishable from that of a person. It can learn and apply its intellect to solve any problem by mimicking human intelligence and/or behaviors.

Strong AI employs a philosophy of mind AI system, which refers to the ability to perceive other intelligent entities’ desires, feelings, values, and thought processes. It’s not about emulation or simulation when it comes to the theory of mind AI; it’s about teaching computers to better understand humans.

Artificial Superintelligence (ASI)

ASI is the point at which computers become self-aware and outperform human intelligence and ability. Artificial superintelligence is the idea that AI will grow to be so similar to human feelings and perceptions that it will recognize them and elicit emotions, needs, values, and desires of its own.

Applications of Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence has a wide range of applications in different fields of life. Some of these are as follows:
